Introduction| With over two decades of experience in styling, design, and innovation, I blend creativity with sustainability in all aspects of my work. My professional journey is grounded in a strong educational foundation, including a Garment Technologist qualification and a recently completed Professional Bachelor's degree in Design & Business with a specialisation in Circular Fashion Design and Production. This education has equipped me with the skills to merge innovative design practices with sustainable principles, enabling me to create timeless and functional solutions for the modern fashion industry.

Experience and Career Development| My career began in 2001 as a stylist assistant at Malling Publication, where I contributed to national and international campaigns, editorials, and runway shows. This experience paved the way for my freelance career as a fashion and image stylist, represented by Tomorrow Management. During this period, I worked on fashion editorials, music videos, and collaborations with contemporary artists.
As an established fashion and image stylist, I have styled TV shows such as The Voice and X-Factor and worked with artists from Sony and Universal Records. From 2005 to 2012, my involvement with the family gallery, Gallery Esplanaden 3, enriched my understanding of contemporary art by presenting modern, photographic, installation, and performance art.

EloCheé| In 2013, I became the designer for EloChée, an exclusive clothing brand founded by John F. Barimani. Our first collection launched in 2016, and I led all creative processes. Although an American/Italian group eventually acquired the brand, it aimed to bridge art and fashion with a modern and futuristic expression. Despite its innovative approach, EloChée closed due to new EU regulations and the high costs associated with sustainable and circular production methods.
EloCheé Trashion, our seasonal pop-up shop at REFFEN, operated from April to September 2019 and 2020. We focused on upcycling leftover materials from EloChée, resulting in products known as "ECS by Elocheé." Outside of the pop-up shop's operating season, the space functioned as a workshop. This setup served as the base for our vision of reworking, reusing, and repairing our styles and fabrics. Although this was the final phase of EloChée, we still hope for its return in a new format.

Design Philosophy and Sustainability| My design philosophy marries aesthetics with responsibility. Grounded in sustainability principles, I strive to create beautiful, timeless clothing that respects people and the planet. I prioritise sourcing high-quality materials suitable for circular production methods, minimising waste production. Each garment is crafted with care and consciousness of its lifecycle, aiming for beauty, functionality, and comfort. My designs encourage self-expression and offer versatility in daily wear without compromising on style or comfort.
I value ethical production practices, supporting fair working conditions and wages for our global producers and partners. I aspire to inspire a more inclusive and just fashion industry through my commitment to social responsibility. My vision is to lead the way toward a fashion world where sustainability is integral to every decision and action. I believe fashion can be both beautiful and responsible, inviting consumers to join the journey toward a more sustainable future.

Aesthetic| In my design work, I find a captivating fusion of functionality, minimalism, and artistic innovation. I create practical, comfortable pieces ideal for both sports and daily use, often employing innovative materials and technological textiles to enhance performance and comfort. Minimalism is a central component, with clean lines, simple silhouettes, and an absence of unnecessary details. I embrace the philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection, where subtle imperfections add character and depth. My colour palette is dominated by neutral and earthy tones such as black, white, grey, and beige, creating a timeless and versatile base that can be combined in numerous ways, often punctuated by a single bold colour for visual interest. Cuts and silhouettes are both experimental and functional, with playful proportions and layering techniques that create dynamic and sculptural forms. The dialogue between past and present, where old craftsmanship meets contemporary innovation and multifunctional elements, is central to my work.

Textile Activism Group | Co-Founder & Project Lead | Textile Activism Group was a circular innovation project I co-founded with Oliver Søndergaard Voss in 2024. Developed as a platform for collaborative experimentation, the project explored how post-consumer textiles could be transformed into design-ready resources through circular workflows, public engagement and material-driven practice. The initiative became an important testing ground for the measurement-to-prototype methods and remake systems I had begun developing during the Sydhavn pilot project. Through workshops, material activation and prototype development, the work examined how transparency, creative responsibility and textile reuse could operate in practice. My role in the initiative concluded in September 2025, as I shifted focus toward my independent practice and workflow development. The project continues under Oliver Søndergaard Voss.

SEW STUDIO CPH | Co-Founder & Organisational Development | SEW STUDIO CPH is a community-based textile studio initiative developed by Laura Banke Poulsen as a continuation of her earlier project, SewScribe. I later joined the project as co-founder, contributing to the development of its organisational structure, governance framework and operational foundation during a formative phase of the studio’s growth.
My work focused on building activity structures, workshop formats and collaborative frameworks around textile reuse, remake practices and accessible learning environments. I also contributed to the realisation of external collaborations and public programming with partners including SPOR10, IKEA, Alenemorskab, UFF HUMANA, MODULE, Miles Club and EK, including workshop facilitation, community engagement and curation support.
The project became an important practical extension of my broader work with circular textile systems and prototype-based learning practices. As of 2026, I am transitioning out of my role within the studio to continue focusing on my independent practice and workflow development. SEW STUDIO CPH continues independently under Laura Banke Poulsen.
EF | Founder & Circular Design Practice | EF is my independent circular design practice, founded in Copenhagen in 2024. The work brings together garment technology, remake methodologies and low-waste prototype development through a process that combines analogue craftsmanship with digital precision.
The practice works across both post-consumer textiles and responsibly sourced materials selected for their ability to remain in future circular processes. Through measurement-based workflows, material analysis and circular construction principles, EF develops garments designed for longevity, repair, remake and future recycling.
The workflow foundation behind EF was developed through a six-month circular textile innovation pilot carried out in collaboration with Sydhavns Genbrugscenter under the City of Copenhagen in 2024. The project explored how discarded textiles could be transformed into design-ready resources through the integration of Logic Group’s track-and-trace system for apparel and CLO3D virtual prototyping, enabling high-precision pattern workflows while reducing physical sampling and material waste.
The broader ecosystem surrounding the practice continues to evolve through interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, including ongoing exchanges around traceability systems, workflow development and circular infrastructure with John F. Barimani and Loom Ledger.
The collections are gender-inclusive and designed to support personal expression beyond traditional norms, while maintaining a strong focus on durability, functionality and responsible material use.
